Tourism Property was founded by Matt Davidson, a long term hospitality management professional.
Perhaps the best thing about Tourism Property is that we’ve come from a hospitality management, rather than a real estate background.
“I see tourism asset transactions as completely different to typical real estate work”, says Matt. “Successful sales campaigns take planning and persistence. In 2011, Matt was recognised by his peers to be awarded the prestigious ACES Award for Excellence in Accommodation Management. The list of past recipients is impressive to say the least.
After working at the top level in regional tourism for many years, Matt started a very successful hotel management and consultancy firm – 2T. Over 12 years, 2T worked with tourism developers, local and state government bodies, private hotel owners, receivers and liquidators.
Matt also spent 8 years on the board of Destination Wollongong, many of these as chairman. He is credited with taking what was a local tourism association into a dynamic, enterprising body with long term secure funding and a raft of commercial opportunities.
